Compared with the United States of America, Western Europe is certainly in a better situation regarding its higher degree of secularisation. It has become outright impolite to speak about religion in public at all. However, at the same time, this taboo makes it harder to raise the issue of the many church privileges of old that still continue to exist. I’ve been frustrated about this situation for some time, so that’s the reason I’ve started this blog.
